At the Cap Béar Sentinel: between land and sea

We are delighted to welcome you to our guest house, La sentinelle du Cap Bear, situated in a privileged setting overlooking the port and cliffs of Cap Béar and the turquoise waters of the Mediterranean. Let yourself be carried away by this generous space, a true invitation to discover, relax and let go!

Strategic location:

  • Beaches and coves: Nearest on foot: Plage des Batteries, Plage d’Oil about 15 minutes away.
  • Port-Vendres (5-10 min. walk): An authentic port, where you can stroll between history and modernity. You’ll love the colorful houses that ring the sea, the Catalan boats, the fishing and tourist boats, the cafés and restaurants. Don’t hesitate to take a break at the Cave du Domaine Claire Mayol, where you’ll find a warm welcome and top-quality wines.
  • Stroll along the coastline and adjoining paths and discover the coast at your own pace, heading for Collioure or, via Cape Bear, towards Banyuls sur mer.
  • Collioure (25/30 min. walk): A charming village renowned for its Royal Fort, Notre Dame des Angels church, picturesque alleyways and vibrant colors that have inspired so many artists. Don’t resist the many charms of this port, with its museum, its beaches and its ice creams to refresh you!
  • Banyuls sur Mer (15 mins by car or bus): Enjoy the sumptuous landscapes of the Côte Vermeille on your way to Banyuls, with views of the terraced vineyards flowing into the sea. You’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to bathing in crystal-clear waters and lazing around: from the wide open spaces of Paulilles beach to the more intimate Elmes beach, not forgetting the many and varied coves with varying degrees of accessibility. Banyuls, a small tourist and seaside resort, will enchant you. For land-based visits, visit the Biodiversarium (aquarium and scientific garden), the remarkable Maillol Museum in the Roume Valley, or take a tour of a vineyard.
  • Cerbère, last village before Spain (30 mins): Nestled between sea and mountains, between France and Spain. Take advantage of the coastal paths and head to Cap Cerbère to admire the exceptional panorama.
  • Elne (20 mins) and Perpignan (30 mins ): towns of art and history: stroll through places steeped in history, such as the palaces of the kings of Majorca, cathedrals and medieval cloisters.
